Swim Lessons at the Bogota Swim Club


Lessons include

  • 8 - 30 minute lessons by Red Cross certified instructors.
  • Classes run Mondays,Wednesdays, and Thursdays from (Dates to be announced)
Level Time Course Overview
1 9:00 - 9:30 AM Introduction to Water Skills – Students will learn: pool rules, to enter and exit the water safely, to submerge their face, to alternate both arm and leg actions, to float briefly on both their front and back.
2 9:30 - 10:00AM Fundamental Aquatic skills - Students will learn to: submerge their head for 5 seconds, float on both their front and back, combine arm and leg movements to swim short distances.
3 10:00 - 10:30AM Stroke Development - Students will learn: to jump into deep water, general water safety rules, front crawl stroke, how to retrieve objects from chest deep water, bob breathing and life jacket safety.
4 10:30 - 11:00AM Stroke Improvement - Students will learn: to dive into deep water, to swim underwater, to survival float, how to open turn while swimming, front and back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly , and diving safety rules.
5 11:00 - 11:30 AM Stroke Refinement - Students will learn: to shallow dive, to swim under water, to survival float for extended periods, flip turns, stroke development, and rescue breathing. (Swim Team Preparation)
6 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM Personal Water Safety - Students will learn: to refine stroke and turn skills, to float for extended periods, to tread water, to self rescue while in clothing, and review all pool and equipment rules.
