A special meeting of the membeship had been requested by the members
at the July 19, 2009 annual meeting to discuss the finances of the pool.
This meeting was originally scheduled for August 2, 2009 but was postponed
to August 9, 2009 due to poor weather. One motion was made and passed:
Members who have not paid the $50.00 assessment for drain
covers and repairs, mandated by the Federal government, shall be suspended
from the pool until payment is made, effective as of Monday, August
10th, 2009.

Passed unanimously by 15 bonded members and 6 Board of Trustees

The general meeting of the pool was held in the picnic area. Attendance
was taken. There were two major issues discussed.
- A special recession special was announced to entice new members
into joining for the remainder of the season.
- To open to the public for a daily fee. The terms and fees are
to be set by the managers.

May 23, 2009
The pool is open for the season. Thanks to the many who helped clean
up and set up the pool for the season. The pool will be open on weekends
only till the Bogota School System lets out for the summer

The annual meeting was held at the Bogota Recreation building at 7:30
PM. Many items were discussed. Due to the increased cost of operating
the pool and the Virginia Graham Pool Act, we need to increase the dues
to $510 per family.
Without these upgrades, the pool will not open.

The annual meeting of the general membership of the Bogota Swim Club
has been tentatively set for February 18, 2009 at 7:30 PM. Members will
be notified by E-mail and US postal mail as the date approaches.
September 1, 2008
The pool is now closed for
the season. Thanks to all who helped make it a great season. The
pool will be open Saturday September 6th from 12 to 4 PM for members
to pick up their chairs and towels and other assorted property.
Unfortunately we do not have the ability to safely store this property
over the winter.

A special meeting was held
in the picnic area starting at 2:00 PM to discuss revisions to the club
by-laws. Members of the by-law committee were on hand to answer any
questions. The actual meeting to vote on the changes began at 3:00 PM.
Approximately 25 members where on hand plus the board of trustees. All
21 changes were accepted. The

August 18, 2008
At the July 16 general meeting,
it was decided that an ad hoc committee shall be formed to revise the
by-laws of the Bogota Swim Club. This committee functioned and the Board
of Trustees decided to hold a special meeting August 24 at the pool
at 2:00 PM. A copy of the revised by-laws will be presented. If
you would like a copy to review prior to the meeting you can click this

A new photo ID system has
been purchased by the pool. Come down and have your picture taken. This
new system uses a scanner to check you in. No more having to leave your
cards at the office (or forgetting them either). Your picture will be
on file. One card will be issued per individual as listed on your application.
We have announced two new
events for the pool. Movie
Night on Tuesday August 26 and an Adult
Swim on Saturday August 31. See the links for details.

The Bogota Swim Club Swim
Team won its match against Waldwick.
The summer meeting of the
general membership was held tonight at 7:30 PM. Ten (10) board members
were present and fifteen (15) members were present. The current membership
of the pool is 236 memberships.
The Swim Team has announced
that it will hold a fundraiser at QuickChek on Saturday July 19. Please
donate.

Movie night has been announced.
Tuesday July 15 (rain date July 16) after dark. The pool will remain
open for swimming. The title of the movie has yet to be determined.

The pool is now open full
time for the season. The daily hours of operation are from 12:30 to
8:30 PM. The snack bar will be open till 7:30PM.

The pool is now open (Tuesday)
1/2 days, 2 to 7 pm. On Friday June 20 the pool will only be open 2
to 5 pm due to the Bogota High School graduation ceremonies at Fiegel
Field. The Pool opens full-time Saturday June 21, 12:30 to 8:30 pm for
the remainder of the summer.
June 7-10, 2008
This weekend was extremely
hot. The board of trustees agreed to have the pool remain open on Monday
and Tuesday after school these days. The pool was packed. There is a

The pool has been painted
and began filling on Friday May 16. A power outage tripped the fill
pump. Jeff Clark was able to reset the breaker. Also, some Bogota High
School students were able to finish their community service projects
this day. Finally, some trustees pitched and help paint the pool areas.

and Juniors performed 6 hours of community service this day. Their help

The Bogota Swim Club has
made an offer to the members of the recently closed Paramus Swim Club
to join for the 2008 season. Details can be found on the main web page.

is back in operation with an answering machine. Please call 201-489-1991
if you have any questions. The off-season phone number will be monitored
till the pool opens full-time in June.

the membership drive. Over 1500 flyers have been printed and handed
out.
